Msoro Day Secondary School

Page Update: 20 Feb 2024

We started supporting Msoro in 2023 and provided funds to help support with a classroom block and girls dormitory block.

Andy, my colleague in Zambia, was approached by the Ministry Head of Education who requested his support. After many conversations and visits Andy felt that this school would undoubtedly benefit from help. The head teacher, shared that her school has a total of 450 students serving a community of 3000. We have recently completed the rebuilding of the classroom block and the dormitory is underway.

These projects were made possible by support from an organisation called TASC in
Jersey, who are leading global carbon project developers.

It’s in a very rural area and supports 450 students serving a community of approx 3000. As you can see the classrooms are in a desperate state of repair. We will be helping to build a girls dormitory block. Fewer girls attend secondary school and we want to empower them to hope for a better future.
